I am currently an undergraduate student at the University of Texas at Austin, and my major is English! However, after taking one journalism class I’ve applied to switch my major to journalism… I was born and raised in Austin, Texas! I moved to Georgetown when I was 15, but I moved back to Austin for college when I was 18 and I feel like I’m finally back where I belong. I kept going to high school in Austin and would drive 30-45 minutes every day because I hated Georgetown so much. I live with my girlfriend and our two cats, Finn and Jake, in our beautiful apartment. My favorite food is my mom’s beans, my favorite drinks are strawberry lemonade and pina colada slurpees, my favorite color is dark blue that is almost black, my favorite animals are cats and racoons, and my favorite thing to do in my free time is write. When I was younger, I would write original fictional stories, but as I’ve gotten older I’ve enjoyed that less and less. Now, I most enjoy writing pieces analyzing and critiquing various art forms and medias, my favorite being movies and books.

I’m starting this blog to both create an artistic outlet for myself and get a start on building my portfolio. When applying to an internship, I came across the portion where it asked for examples of my writing, which I have barely any of. I love writing so much, but I don’t do it!!! I am putting myself out there by starting this, and I don’t think I care if nobody even sees it! I want to do this for me.
